Caramel Cold Brew

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup coarsely ground coffee beans
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1/4 cup caramel syrup (store-bought or homemade)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: milk or cream, whipped cream for topping

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Cold Brew Concentrate:

    • In a large jar or pitcher, combine the coarsely ground coffee beans and cold water.
    • Stir to ensure all the coffee grounds are saturated.
    • Cover the jar or pitcher and let it steep in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours. The longer it steeps, the stronger the cold brew concentrate will be.
  2. Strain the Cold Brew:

    • After steeping, strain the cold brew concentrate using a fine-mesh sieve, cheesecloth, or a coffee filter to remove the coffee grounds.
    • Transfer the cold brew concentrate to a clean jar or bottle for storage. It can be kept in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  3. Assemble the Caramel Cold Brew:

    • Fill a glass with ice cubes.
    • Pour the desired amount of cold brew concentrate into the glass, leaving room for the caramel syrup and any additional ingredients.
    • Stir in the caramel syrup according to your taste preferences. Start with 1 to 2 tablespoons and adjust as needed.
    • If desired, add milk or cream to your liking and stir well.
  4. Optional Toppings:

    • Top your caramel cold brew with whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat.
    • Drizzle additional caramel syrup on top for added sweetness and decoration.
  5. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Give your caramel cold brew a final stir and enjoy it immediately!
